Department of Social Relations and Training

The department specializes in raising the efficiency of the Sudanese industrial sector through training, lectures, meetings, workshops and conferences, and inventing innovative means and methods to raise the efficiency of the Sudanese worker. One of the department's tasks is to activate the cultural, social and media work, and to pay attention to ways of developing the social relations of the union's membership and the relationship with civil society.

• Introducing Sudanese products, their quality and prices through communication with cooperative societies and residential communities.

• Constant communication with civil society to introduce national positions and work to support programs that serve the community.

• Creating awareness and desire among citizens to encourage the national industry.

• Promote and raise awareness of the principles and practices of social responsibility for industrial enterprises and support their initiatives related to the development of Sudanese society at all levels of sustainable development and support the neediest groups

• Paying attention to and sponsoring social responsibility programs, keeping pace with activities in this aspect, and scrutinizing ways to make maximum use of them for the benefit of society.

• Identifying the needs of the industrial sectors in terms of the different specializations of employment, in coordination with the various industrial chambers and with training centers, trainers, academic and research institutions, and international organizations in this direction.

• Studying ways to create a new job opportunity to raise employment rates in the industrial sectors.

• Paying attention to media work, special occasions, production feasts, and successes in the industrial sector.

 

Department of Environment, Safety and Standards

Department of Environment, Safety and Standards

The department is concerned with enhancing the efforts of the industrial chambers to comply with the principles of occupational safety and health and ways to reduce risks in industrial establishments. It also specializes in accurately identifying the Sudanese specifications, following up on their approval and issuance, and defining the membership with its requirements. The department works to promote the trend towards green production and environmental friendliness by enabling and localizing environmentally friendly technologies.

. 1 - Working on the dissemination of information, documents and knowledge related to safety and health, with a focus on the changes that occur in this field.

. 2 - Working on accurately acquainting with the Sudanese standard specifications and following up on their approval, issuance and requirements, while publishing as much as possible on the membership and introducing it to them.

3. Spreading awareness regarding occupational safety and health, environment and standards, and clarifying the relationships between them and their impact on the national, regional and global production and commercial process

 4. Supporting self-monitoring by making early warnings to conserve resources through the mechanism of supporting the technical staff in the industrial sector, waste and unfavorable gases

5 .Establishing an environmental management system mechanism by carrying out studies, research and scientific analyzes in the field of energy and industrial waste and benefiting from them by recycling and exploiting them in energy generation

6. Improving occupational health and safety and occupational health by educating workers about the legal responsibility in health and safety and ensuring the procedures for this when evaluating and establishing in industrial units

7. Working on conducting environmental impact assessment studies for new industries and raising early warning in all industrial sectors according to the mechanism of enhancing qualified human capabilities

8 Introducing different scenarios for each industry for an environmentally friendly industry by transferring and reviewing renewable energy systems for their introduction and studies for waste management and recycling by enabling and settling environmentally friendly technologies and encouraging the development of the Clean Development Mechanism project..

 9. Communicating with the concerned authorities and closely following them up:

 (A) Standards committees and compiling all the outputs of their work in relation to specifications for commodities, industrial inputs, validity period...etc.

(B) Follow-up on the impact of specifications and the link of the matter to commercial fraud in order to avoid damage to the units that are disciplined and committed to the agreed specifications (Consumer Protection, Consumer Prosecution and the Ministry of Industry).

 10. Conducting studies related to unfair competition based on importing goods that do not conform to Sudanese specifications and are harmful to the national economy and the health of the citizen.

11. Follow-up activities related to safety, occupational health, environment and specifications and their reflection in the frameworks of the Federation and the Specialized Chamber.

Department of International and Regional Relations

Department of International and Regional Relations

The department is concerned with building and developing the primary relations of the Federation of Chambers of Industry, especially with the Arab and International Labor Organization, the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining, and similar unions.

1. Coordination with the members and the competent authorities to carry out the activities of promoting and consolidating the economic relations of the industrial sector, in particular the following:

A- Receiving visiting delegations and sending delegations abroad.

b- Organizing or participating in exhibitions for Sudanese industrial products in coordination with the concerned authorities.

C- Holding conferences, symposia, research and training seminars inside and outside the country, or participating in organizing or participating in them.

D- Concluding cooperation agreements with federations, chambers or similar bodies to strengthen cooperation and commercial ties.

2. Participation in all local, regional and international events that deal with topics related to the Union’s competencies, as well as committees formed by governmental and non-governmental bodies to study issues related to the Union’s objectives and competencies, and everything that would affect the interests of the Union members.

3. Interest in communicating with relevant regional and international organizations and disseminating knowledge of international conventions in the field of work, labor relations and international labor standards.

4. Participation and membership in businessmen councils and unions of Arab, regional and international chambers of industry

Policy and Labor Relations Department

The department is concerned with studying labor law and issues related to work in the various industrial sectors and the relationship with the Arab Labor Organization, the International Labor Organization, ministries, bodies and related organizations.

• Coordination between the various business organizations and the Federation to study the investment law and complementary laws and the development of articles that facilitate all procedures for investors and express an opinion in this regard through various proposals.

• Updating the database of international and regional organizations for ease of communication, coordinating relations with them, and making joint protocols between the Federation and other organizations.

• Coordination with donor agencies and funds to assist existing projects to increase their production capacity to continue their activities.

• Work to improve the investment climate in Sudan by working with the Ministry of Investment to simplify procedures and reduce burdens on investors.

• Linking the union with various business organizations to coordinate on common issues.

• Linking the investment committees to the states to get acquainted with the size and nature of projects and the areas of priority and priority in each state.

• Work to establish a unit for project studies to assist new investors.

• Preparing appropriate studies and notes and proposing scientific solutions to problems related to taxes, levies and services.
